Northrop Grumman,
and
Nooter and other participants from the defense, power, oil, ship building industries participated with Ed in a discussion on a comparison of TIP TIG with conventional welding processes along with a root cause analysis of common costly code quality weld defects. At the TIP TIG demo lab, the 40 participants from 5 different countries
including Australia saw
weld demonstrations in which TIP TIG out performed the traditional TIG process .

ANY STAINLESS, DUPLEX OR INCONEL APPLICATION
Oct 2009. Company Zieman Bauer. Location Germany. Zieman is the global leader in building breweries and food processing facilities. Zieman typically uses Avesta flux cored wire and pulsed MIG for stainless. After seeing how TIP TIG out performs all the available welding processes, Zieman who has always been a leader in stainless and duplex alloy weld technology immediately switched to TIP TIG and ordered 27 units.
2009: TIP TIG IS USED FOR THE WORLD'S
LARGEST DUPLEX TIG APPLICATION:
ZIEMANN HAS TO PRODUCE 18 LARGE DUPLEX TANKS FROM 12 TO 17m DIAMETER.
These duplex tanks will then be built into a ship to transport orange juice or other beverages.
On this coated duplex note the outstanding all position full penetration weld quality. No weld cleaning,
no weld spatter and no weld rework.The plate was protected with a zinc rust inhibitor and the welder
wears a ventilated hood, yet note there are no evident weld fumes with the TIP TIG process.
